LIGURIAN AGRIFOOD SHOW Between March 14th and March 16th 2008, don’t miss a visit to the fourth edition of the successful Regional Exhibition exclusively focused on the outstanding agrifood products from the entire Ligurian region: the Ligurian Agrifood Show, once again taking place in the exclusive Santa Caterina monumental complex in the Medieval citadel of Finale Ligure (SV) - a first-class member in the titled club of the Finest Italian Villages. The exhibition has been organized by The Ligurian Regional Government and Unioncamere Liguria, The Province of Savona, The Chamber of Commerce of Savona, The Finale Ligure Municipality and the Consortium of Communes in the Pollupice Mountain Area, in cooperation with the sector organisations such as Coldiretti, Confederazione Italiana Agricoltori (Italian Farmers’ Federation) and Confagricoltura. The Ligurian Agrifood Show gives you the opportunity to taste and purchase regional agrifood products, as well as to participate in cultural and didactic meetings. The Ligurian Agrifood Show is intended to pay homage to all productions on the Ligurian territory that have distinguished themselves by their effort to recover the Ligurian enogastronomic tradition. The Ligurian Agrifood Show is a particularly rich and exciting exhibition, structured as follows: the show - Visitors will have a wide area at their disposal: the Auditorium, the Oratorio de’ Disciplinanti (an ancient oratory founded by a religious order) and the wonderful 15th century Santa Caterina cloisters, where producers will show you their traditional Ligurian high-quality products. Among these productions are to be mentioned: pesto, focaccia from Recco, the classical Genoese focaccia, panissa, farinata, the extra vergine olive oil, the cicciarelli from Noli, the varieties of cheese and sweets, the Campiglia saffron, the chinotto from Savona, the Vessalico garlic variety, the Badalucco bean, Ligurian sauces (pesto, olive paste, machetto, anchovy paste, creamed artichoke etc.), chestnuts, honey, the Pigato, Vermentino, Rossese and Sciacchetrà wines, homemade beer, bio spirits, distillates and much more; collateral meetings - workshops, seminars and classes, for visitors and exhibitors. The Ligurian Agrifood Show is an open and entrance-free exhibition. |
